During my nine years at Microsoft, I saw how AI could do more than improve an individual task. Applied well, it could reshape roles, change how people worked, and expand what an organization was capable of achieving. I also learned that technology alone does not create that transformation.
My career has been built around helping people use technology to solve meaningful problems. That means starting with the desired business outcome, understanding the work and the people responsible for it, and then applying technology in a way that creates lasting change.
That is why I founded Rebase Labs: to help organizations turn AI’s potential into lasting change. We begin with what the organization wants to achieve, work alongside the people responsible for making it real, and use technology as the catalyst for better work and stronger organizations.

Shawn Thompson founded Rebase Labs after nine years at Microsoft across enterprise consulting, partner engineering, and AI product leadership. Across those roles, he worked where technology had to meet real customer environments, operating requirements, and business outcomes.
